Abstract Title: Learning from each other: the challenges and successes of an accredited Brief Intervention programme
An interactive workshop looking at challenges and successes of establishing a national accredited brief intervention course for people coming into contact with smokers.
This workshop will explore: setting up and gaining accreditation targeting priority groups in health and social care how do we know if it makes a difference? making it work locally/regionally
As a Public Health Practitioner for Stop Smoking Wales, Vikki is involved in the development and promotion of the service, including the Brief Intervention training programme. Vikki’s background is in community health promotion with a focus on training, group-work and service development in the fields of tobacco control and sexual health. Vikki has a postgraduate diploma in Youth and Community Development.
