After completing his first degree at the University of Wales Keith enjoyed a varied career encompassing youthwork, housing and specialist social work in the drug and alcohol field, before joining the civil service in 2002. Keith was one of England’s nine Regional Tobacco Policy Managers during the run-up to smoke-free legislation, moving on in 2006 to establish the tobacco control work of the Department of Health’s National Support Team, which offers consultancy support to local areas to put tobacco control strategy into practice as well as bringing learning from the field back in to Government.
